Key Locking Threaded Inserts

Key Thread Inserts are solid, one-piece, key-locking inserts for use in original equipment or used to repair damaged threads. The Key Thread Insert locking keys provide a positive mechanical lock which prevents rotation due to vibration or torsion. Key Inserts are available in carbon or stainless steel, Self finished or passivated or coated, both in inch and metric series. and as Thin walled, Heavy Duty, Extra Heavy Duty designs. Key Insert provide strong, permanent metal threads in virtually any material ferrous, non-ferrous or non-metallic. And are available In the widest available choice of standard sizes, lengths, materials and types.

Positive mechanical lock against rotation
Locking Keys are driven down into the tapped threads of the parent material during installation to securely lock the insert against rotation. Featuring an exclusive external thread design, Key inserts provide maximum pull-out strength with a minimum outside diameter.

Internal thread lock feature available.
Inserts with this feature are designed to securely lock a bolt when it is introduced into the insert only a few turns. The locking torque values are consistent and well within the range established by MIL-I-45914A.

These inserts are available in a size range of internal diameter in Metric series as M2 upto M24 and in UNC /UNF series as 2-56 upto 1 inch. These Key inserts are available in materials such as Stainless steel 303 grade, Alloy steel A286 and other space age metals in natural finish, passivated or coated surface.

These inserts are also available as per leading Aerospace & Defense specifications such as MS51830, MS51831, MS51832, MS51833, MS51834, NAS1394, NAS1395 series to mention a few.
