EZ-LOK Thread inserts are threaded metal bush having internal and external threading which can be fastened into a pe-threaded hole using a screw driver key slot given at the top of the thread insert. These inserts are coated with dry encapsulated Loctite adhesive which when introduced to the internal threads release the adhesive for bonding the thread assembly. E-Z LOK threaded inserts have standard size/pitch threads so they can be installed using standard tools you probably already have in your toolbox. For example, if an E-Z LOK with a 1/2-13 external thread is being installed, the user simply drills the hole with a standard 27/64 drill and then taps the hole with a standard 1/2-13 tap. Once that’s done, the insert is threaded into the hole like an ordinary fastener using a screwdriver, bolt and jam nut, or an E-Z LOK drive tool.


E-Z LOK threaded inserts for metal are installed using standard tools. Simply drill the ppropriately sized hole with a standard drill tap the hole with a standard tap and then turn in the E-Z LOK like an ordinary fastener with a screwdriver, bolt and jam nut, or an E-Z LOK drive tool.

Installation is as easy as 1-2-3.
